Overview

A Professional Learning Network, or PLN, means that educators connect with other educators in order to collaborate and learn from each other.  You probably already have a PLN and didn't even realize it.  As a teacher, you are usually working with other staff members within your school or county, sharing ideas and trying different things.  This is considered a PLN.  You may also be a member of Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, or Instagram, all of which are global communities in which you can find and share a variety of materials in order to grow as a professional.  Professional Learning Networks are important to have as professionals, as we are constantly changing our teaching and growing as educators in order to become better teachers.

Check out this video from YouTube that tells you why PLNs are important.
